About Stoke Space
Developing Nova — a medium-class rocket with both stages fully reusable, a Falcon 9 competitor. Founded by Blue Origin alumni Andy Lapsa and Tom Feldman.
Stoke Space is an American launch vehicle developer, founded in 2019 by Blue Origin alumni, headquartered in Kent, with about 400 employees. It is building Nova, a medium-class rocket with both stages reusable. The second stage returns from orbit using a metal heat shield that is cooled by liquid hydrogen and doubles as the engine, so there are no fragile tiles to replace after flight. The first orbital launch, Pathfinder, is set for early 2027 from Cape Canaveral; the company is already part of the US Space Force's $17 billion defense launch pool. In September 2026 it raised $1 billion in a Series E at a valuation of about $10 billion, bringing total funding to $2.3 billion across six rounds.
