Notion is a single workspace where documents, databases, tasks, and an internal knowledge base come together in one tool — and, since 2025, agents that do the work inside those same documents. Founded in 2013 in San Francisco, with a staff of roughly 1,000. More than 100 million people and 4 million paying customers use the platform, on $600M of annualized revenue — against roughly $31M at the time of the Series C in October 2021. Notion 3.0 with agents shipped in September 2025, the developer platform in May 2026, and by July customers had built more than 1 million agents of their own.
