Loft Orbital
Loft Orbital is a Franco-American company selling satellites as a service, founded in 2017, with offices in San Francisco and Toulouse. The customer gets a place in orbit by subscription, without building their own spacecraft: clients include NASA, Microsoft, Anduril, BAE Systems, and the French space agency CNES. Since 2021, orders worth more than $500 million have been signed. Canadian EarthDaily ordered a turnkey constellation of ten satellites for $150 million; by June 2026, seven spacecraft were in orbit. In January 2026, the French defense agency DGA and CNES selected Loft as the prime contractor for the DESIR radar satellite for approximately €50 million. The joint venture Orbitworks with Emirati Marlan Space opened a factory in Abu Dhabi in November 2025. Series C in 2025 brought in $170 million at a valuation of over $1 billion, with a total of $323 million raised.
