Ledger
Ledger is a French manufacturer of hardware wallets for crypto assets, founded in 2014 in Paris. 8 million devices have been sold in 165 countries, storing more than 20% of global crypto assets. The company is transitioning from selling devices to embedding signatures into third-party services: clients of the Kraken exchange will be able to connect Ledger directly within its interface for deposits, withdrawals, and signing transactions, and its parent company Payward will become a provider for buying and exchanging. Ledger Wallet supported Arc, Circle's blockchain for stablecoins, on the mainnet launch day, September 16, 2026. With MoonPay since 2024, in-app cryptocurrency purchase and exchange is available.
2025 revenue was a record high. The Series C extension in March 2023 brought in €100 million at a valuation of €1.3 billion, with a total of approximately $570 million raised.
