Chai Discovery is a US biotech company founded in March 2024 in San Francisco by alumni of OpenAI, Meta, and Stripe. It builds AI models that design antibody molecules in silico for a given target: months of lab-based screening compress into a few weeks, and only dozens of candidates need validation instead of thousands. The company sells pharma companies access to its platform and trains custom model versions on their internal data. Since January 2026, Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Novartis, argenx, and Bristol Myers Squibb have signed on, with the BMS agreement covering its entire target portfolio. In July 2026 the company raised $400 million in a Series C at a $3.8 billion valuation, bringing total funding to $630 million.
