Xsight Labs
Xsight Labs is an Israeli developer of networking chips for AI data centers, founded in 2017 in Tel Aviv by veterans of EZchip, which was acquired by Mellanox. X-series switches link servers into a cluster, and E-series data processors take network load off the central processor; manufacturing is done by TSMC. The X2 chip handles 12.8 Tbit/s at up to 200 W, and the E1 was the first on the market to ship at 800 Gbit/s. The company published the switch's instruction set, so customers write their own packet-processing logic; the niche of open programmable switches opened up when Intel wound down its Tofino line. SpaceX chose the X2 for its Starlink V3 satellites, and Oxide Computer chose it for its server racks. A July 2026 round led by Fidelity valued the company at $2.8 billion, and it has raised more than $450 million in total.
Key highlights
Where Xsight Labs stands today across technology, financials and market traction.
SpaceX: the network core of Starlink V3.
In December 2025 Starlink announced that the X2 would be the high-speed network core of its V3 satellites, each designed for 1 Tbit/s. Starlink's vice president of engineering Michael Nicolls called the chip an integral part of next-generation routing.
Oxide: the X2 in place of the discontinued Tofino.
The server rack maker was left without a switching chip when Intel wound down Tofino, and in October 2024 it chose the X2. CTO Bryan Cantrill attributes the choice to the chip's openness, since Xsight published its instruction set.
Hammerspace: storage without extra servers.
In October 2025 Hammerspace chose the E1 so GPUs could read flash drives over the network directly, bypassing intermediate x86 servers. The joint solution was shown at the Open Compute Project summit.
