About Saronic
Builds AI-piloted autonomous surface vessels for naval fleets and is standing up the Port Alpha shipyards to build them at scale for the US Navy and allies.
Saronic Technologies is an American developer of autonomous surface vessels for the US Navy and its allies, founded in September 2022 in Austin by military veterans and Anduril engineers. Its lineup runs from the 7-meter Corsair boat to the 55-meter Marauder ship; the vessels operate on their own or under remote operator control, and the company builds both the Echelon control software and the hulls in-house at its Texas and Louisiana facilities — which is why the first Marauder went from design to launch in under a year. In March 2026 it raised $1.75B at a $9.25B valuation; total funding raised is about $2.6B. In July, Brownsville was selected for the new $3.2B Port Alpha shipyard, which from 2028 will build vessels up to 260 meters long.
