Apex Space
Apex is an American manufacturer of satellite buses founded in 2022 in Los Angeles. A bus includes the structure, power, propulsion, communications and attitude control; Apex builds it in series and sells it as a ready catalog product, and the customer mounts its own payload on top. The small Aries bus costs $3.5–5.7 million and is delivered in months, although a satellite usually takes years to build. The first Aries went from a blank sheet to orbit in less than a year and has been operating there for more than two years; customers have received more than ten buses, and no mission has failed. Payloads from Anduril and Booz Allen have flown on them. Revenue in 2025 was about $60 million by Contrary Research's estimate, two-thirds of it from defense. A June 2026 round led by Glade Brook Capital valued Apex at $2.3 billion, and it has raised $718 million in total.
